Between the 19th century wood type and tuscan typography, and the square frame– a highly recognizable logo was created that is enduring and easy to read.

The logo has the ability to shift into different frame sizes becoming highly adaptble.

The frame logo and color adapts to the recipients work serving as a platform to distinguish the art from its surroundings.
Allowing it to stand out and be appreciated furthermore.

New Visual Artists Award 2024

Logo and award designed at COLLINS.

Started almost two decades ago, in 1998, PRINT Mag’s New Visual Artists launched the “20Under30” issue. Since then, they’ve sought to continually spotlight the cutting-edge creatives shaping the field, putting a spotlight to the work of diverse young creatives to a global audience.

While it's not a competition, it serves as a platform to highlight and promote the work of these talented individuals.

Our objective was to re-launch & revitalize NVA with
a new brand direction—honoring the tradition
and history of the program while forging a new path
to acknowledge the changing landscape in design. NVA’s new brand direction must be: leading edge, vibrant, cool, free, playful while pushing the envelope.

Inspired by the relationship between frames and paintings, the identity uses typography designed to function like a frame, highlighting and supporting the work of others. This idea mirrors the mission of the NVAs:
to celebrate and showcase the creativity of others.
